かつて書物に印刷された文字は凸凹していました。活字印刷だったためです。活字は「活きて」いると言われます。植字によって文字を自由に組み替え新しい文章を生み出すからです。活字文化の真髄である東洋の古活字版、西洋の初期印刷本の競演をご堪能ください。
